Do you struggle getting people to make a decision? Do you get people close to signing up with you, but they just don’t seem to do it? What is the difference between what you are doing and those that get a lot of people to join them? They ask better questions and know how to use pain for starters. I am going to share with you some of the tactics that they use.

If They Don’t See a Reason to Join you, They Won’t…

This is what a novice does when they feel they are losing the sale, they try to close harder and shower their target with benefits and features. When someone is NOT convinced they should join, this only pushes them away further and puts up their wall of resistance. The harder you try to close, the more they will resist, and you will become frustrated, tired and upset that you let another get away and start to lose your confidence. So what can you do differently?

Ask Better Questions

There are going to be times where you talk to someone who is pleased where they are, but by using the power of questions, you can learn how to get them to make decisions.

Most people are atught to get an educate and get a job in coorporate America. A lot of them are probably not open to starting a home business, but let’s review some possible means of persuasion.

First Scenario:

You: Harry, you sound pretty happy with your job, what are the three things you like most about it?

Harry: I like the having a steady paycheck,  benefits and climbing the corporate ladder.

You: Great, but I’m curious, what are three things be better or may not be getting met by your job?

Harry: I wish I had more control over my schedule, I don’t having to ask for permission to take time off or take my kids to the doctor. I also don’t like the fact that I trade dollars for hours every day and month, I wish there was a way to do work once and get paid forever. I’m also worried about being laid off in this terrible economy.

You: That’s powerful, how serious are you about changing some of those things? If I could show you a way to build something from home, that could slowly get you those things you currently do not have like, would you be open to taking a look?

Second Scenario:

When most people join their first network marketing company, they are pumped. This is how I would approach someone in that situation.

Me: That is great you are excited about your company, what are the three things you love about your company?

Bob: I like the idea of creating residual income, I think the product is cool and I’m excited about the industry.

Me: What are three areas that could be better?

Bob: I wish my upline was more supportive and did more training. I wish there were more people in my upline that understood Internet marketing and I wish my compensation plan paid better.

Do you see how that one question can help you get a foot in the door with more prospects? Their answers tell you what they like and what they do not like and if you know that information you can formulate your stance to include the things they are missing without leaving out the things they already like.
