Does Google prefer quantity or quality
This is a question that I have had for a long time and I know that others have the same question. Like so many others, we want traffic, but how do we get it. What is important to the search engines? I have heard this question answered both ways. What is more important, lots of new posts or a few very good ones.
I did a little research on this subject and ran across the answer straight from the horses mouth. In a nutshell, both are just as important, but the quality is important to the search engine and the quantity is important to your readers.
The search engines, prefer new, fresh, interesting content that no one else has. If it takes weeks or even months to come up with a new story or a new perspective that no one else has, that is okay as far as the search engines are concerned. This is how, you will get new visitors and new subscribers.
On the other hand, once these readers have found you, you need to keep them coming back. If you wait weeks to put out a new post, chances are that they will have gone else where by then. So for the sake of keeping those readers you need to keep the fresh content coming until you come up with that next big story.
