What would Google Do?
Google has come on the scene and has taken over the top spot in the search engine world. Google has become a word sort of like Coke. People refer to Coke as a general term for soft drinks. Even when people want a Pepsi, they may say buy me a Coke. In much the same way when some one wants you to do an internet search, they will tell you to Google it, even though you may use Yahoo or Bing.
With that said you want to know what Google would do so that you can increase your traffic. Here are a few cases that I want to share with you.
What would Google do if you updated your website or blog every day? The answer is not a lot. The frequency of your updates matters, but is not a major factor.
What would Google do if you created a killer entry that people share all over the internet. The answer is that they would help you to continue to share it by presenting you in search engine results. Google likes to show popular content.
Would Google drop my rankings if my website is down? The answer is yes. Google tries to balance how long the site is down with whether or not your rankings drop. If your site is down for a few minutes, your rankings probably will not be affected. The longer you are down, the more likely it is that your rankings will also go down.
Will Google increase my page rank if I include my Twitter feed? The first answer is no. Just adding your feed or duplicating your content on your website will not help your page rank. If you have things in your feed that people like, it could get you more back links and therefore increase your page rank.
What would Google do if I removed widgets that increase my load time? The answer is not much. If you have widgets that help your user experience and attract more visitors, you are better off leaving them there.
