Most of our spare time is spent with the home businesses that we run together and our blog posts that we make at least a couple times a week.

Jeff has worked as a software developer for such companies as AT&T, BellSouth, MCI WorldCom, Nations Bank and SAKS 5th Avenue, so he generally handles the technical duties.  Sharon has worked as a program manager and therapist.

Sharon is very talented also, she has developed an educational training program that provides training to nursing homes and other businesses as a consultant.  She also has worked in graphic designs for a number of years.  She has a general funniness for studying genealogy and is considered an amateur genealogist.   However her most recent achievement is owner of  Sharon’s Exquisite Gifts and Designs.

She creates elegant custom artwork; custom name and  family name plagues; inspirational gifts and mourning stones-designed to memorialized a deceased loved one.

We have combined our talents to run these home businesses.  Both of us knew early on that corporate America was not the ticket to the wealth that we wanted to obtain.

A little about our backgrounds: We  grew up  Louisiana, and our home towns were  less than 20 miles apart.  Jeff grew up in Bernice, the same home town as cousin and NBA hall of  famer, Willis Reed. Sharon Grew up in Farmerville, which is the parish seat.  For those who may not be familiar with Louisiana, a parish is equivalent to a county in the other 49 states.

We met as teenagers and our first date was Jeff’s Senior prom, the next one was 25 years later.  About 3 months after that we were finally married. Together, we now have 3 college degrees, 2 daughters and 1 grand daughter. This year both of the girls will reach mile stone ages.  Kristen turns 21 and Diamond turns 18.

Both of our undergraduate degrees came from Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. The one alum that we have that probably everyone knows is Randy Jackson from American Idol. Sharon’s masters degree came from Grambling State University, which is Southern’s main rival.

Of course family is extremely important to us.   We attend Cade Chapel MB church in Jackson Mississippi and if you are ever in the area, please stop by.  We know that you will love it as much as we do.
